FURNISHED TO YOU FROM TIME TO TIME AND FOR WHICH YOU HAVE THANKED ME
VIDE YOUR LETTER NO DG/AHD/INV/29/99-2000 DATED SEPTEMBER 19,2000.

I enclose herewith a copy of your letter No DG/Inv/29/99-2000 dated Sept 19,2000thanking me for information given to you regarding tax evasion by certain companies, auditors, directors,etc. and assuring me of necessary action in the matter. This copy is being sent to you to refresh your memory.
02. As you are well aware, you have not taken any action in the matter eventhough you were specifically informed regarding violation of Section 123 orf the Transfer of Property Act and ignoring provisions of 37I of the Income tax act. The beauty is that you have avoided to proceed against Income tax evaders even tough you have thanked the informer- that is myself.
03. Please let me know as to what are the circumstances which prevent you from taking prompt action against the companies, directors, auditors, etc. in the interest of revenue.
04. I may bring it to your notice that , perhaps due to pressure by defaulter companies, auditors, directors,etc. Your department is trying to harass me, in several ways. As a specimen, I enclose a copy of my letter even date, addressed to the Income Tax officer, which is self explanatory.
05. A reply by return of post would be appreciated.
